Novice wants to transfer music and pics to new computer

My passport is external and connects with a USB, I used it for back up. My old computer was Windows 8, I now have Windows 10. My IPOD music and all my pictures have been backed up on my Passport drive (I hope?). My new computer does recognize it as Drive F:
What files do I transfer to get my music & pics without messing around with Windows 10 software. I am not sure where my items are on the Passport

It depends on how you backed them up. If you used software you’ll probably need that to retrieve them If you manually saved stuff simply copy it to the new PC.

Hi Joe,WIndows 8 My Computer/Back up is what I used - no other software than that. Does that help?

I never used Windows backup. Do a search on using that will give you the answer.
