NEW Passport 4TB not showing up on WD Smartware as backup device

I’ve connected to 2 different Windows 10 PC’s and neither shows the drive.

When I connect an older 2TB or 4TB My Passport, they both are recognized.

Dopes it show up on Windows Explorer? If not, can’t help you.

If it does, look for CD Drive (?:slight_smile: WD unlocker and click on that to get the drive opened.

If you have done this, leave WD Smartdrive, and use WD Backup. Smartdrive no longer supports some newer drives and WD Backup is much cleaner. Don’t worry about slow back up action. Once your files are there, only changed or new files are backed up.
