I’m not really sure what you are asking. The latest firmware has already applied the new user interface and functionalities. However, If you have not yet updated then you won’t see it.

The manual you show the link to is for the Japanese version of the drive. It’s called the WD Cloud, and is not available anywhere except in Japan.
I have last firmware 4.04.00-308 and I’m from Italy.
In the manual linked I see on page 18 “Backup” instead of “Safepoints” and “Network Activity” (with 4.04.00-308 I haven’t)…
So, why only for Japanese version and not for all? USB backup is much better then safepoints!

That explains the reference to a .jp URL… I had spotted the dropping of the ‘My’ bit in the name, and the reference to single and multi-bays. I thought it was perhaps a unified user manual for the MyCloud series. The picture on p4 shows ‘My Cloud’ on the front panel…
Shame, becuase I think we’ve commented before that the setup process described in that user manual looks a lot more sane than the one in the MyCloud user manual… Aha:

Which brings us to the question: when will a new MyCloud User Manual be published? The support page still only has
