So I’ve been at this the past week, and I’ve tried everything I could possilby find.
Reading countless threads, posts, sites, etc.
Today, I found that although I can’t access my laptop (Macbook Pro, OSX) from the wdtv live hub, I can access the wdtv through my laptop and transfer a file that way.
So, I’m content I can finally move files to my wdtv without the tediousness of transferring to a external hd, then to the wdtv. I’m still a little urked that I haven’t been able to figure out why I can’t see any network shares on the wdtv itself.
(Question: I’m in a quite large university, technical one at that, would the idea that there may be way to many network shares impede the wdtv from creating a list?)
I’m having the same problem, my laptop see’s my pc and vice versa but my new WD live hub does not see any of my shared folders like my other computers do. I’ve done the fixs on youtube but no avail, i had the same problem with my WD tv live , that would not find my nas dispite my other pc’s being able to see it which makes no sense. You would think WD would have detailed info on how to set sharing up as this appears to be a wide spread problem.
I bought this hub thinking it would be perfect and will be if i could only sync with my prefered shared folders.
Now I can’t even transfer files to the box itself. Just says I don’t have the correct amount of permissions to edit / move files to the hard drive. (Even though I’ve logged in with the wdtv user/pass on the box itself)
