I woke up this morning, plugged in MyPassport Ultra to find that the light was flashing but the drive was not being found on my mac.

I have downloaded WD Drive Utilities and the SMART status passed however the Quick Drive Test failed.

I am in desperate need of getting my files off this hard drive, can someone please give me some ways to fix this?

I’m actually having the same problem. The Passport is running & the lights are blinking, but it wont show up in the finder or disk utility unless i unplug it. Anyone?

Hi Jess,

Is your WD showing up in the disk utility? Could you share the screenshot with us? Does the drive have a working file system on it now? Data recovery would be possible if the drive met up some criteria. Awaiting response.
