Mypassport : problem to access files wirelessly

hi guys,
thx for your support

i’ve recently acquired a Mypassport wireless Pro 2 To
seems to work fine but i still have a major problem:

when i connect the drive via USB to my PC, no problem. The hard drive is correctly detected
i copy files (videos, music for example) from my WD NAS to the hard drive into the public folder or subfolder i created for… so far so good
i disconnect correctly the Mypassport, and then i try to connect in wifi mode
i tried from my PC, my phone via Es Explorer, or my tablet, no way!
i connect to the drive, I can see it via an explorer, but impossible to browse the files i copied from my PC
the WD android app does’nt do better…
i see i am connected, i can access the control panel via web browser… but i can’t neither browse, neither use the file i imported from my PC via USB… but if i reconnect USB, i can access and use the files. but i would like to access anything freely and wirelessly…
i tried to make a reset (disk and files), works perfectly, i can now browse freely… till i copy some files from my PC again…
some file protection would be the cause?
does anybody have an idea?
thx for your help

To start with. . . .USB and WiFi mode is completely different.
When plugged into USB. . . the device acts like a standard USB external drive.

Different animal when connecting via wifi.

In Windows, if you use file explorer, you can access the drive via //device_name or //ip_address (i.e. 192.168.xx.xx). If you type \device_name, the webui comes up. (I may have the slashes reversed)

These devices don’t always (rarely) show up correctly in the FileExplorer “computer” section as a computer. They generally show up as “storage”; but you can only access the webUI that way.
