I have been having persistent issues with maintaining my MyCloud connection to a WD EX2 device. The same error occurs: Network Connection Failure error 907. Researching the issue I have taken a number of steps to correct the problem
I have directly wired my device to the host router (no wireless link)
I have applied a fixed ip address
I have reinstalled the WD Mycloud software
I have manually reinstalled the connection in both my computers and my phone.
Once I have done the reconnection using a code the device will work immediately but…after a couple of days or so the link is broken. I also have difficulties logging in through a browser
In principle the Mycloud service is a great idea but in practice it seems very unstable and prone to error.
Any thoughts on how to make the connection more robust??
