MyCloud is always off line - error code 907

I have been having persistent issues with maintaining my MyCloud connection to a WD EX2 device. The same error occurs: Cannot connect Network error 907. Researching the issue I have taken a number of steps to correct the problem

I have directly wired my device to the host router (no wireless link)
I have applied a fixed ip address
I have reinstalled the WD Mycloud software
I have manually reinstalled the connection both my computers and my phone.

Once I have done the reconnection using a code the device will work immediatly but…after a couple of days or so the link is broken. I also have difficulties loging in through a browser

In principle the Mycloud service is a great idea but in practice it seems very unstable and prone to error.

Any thoughts on how to make the connection more robust??

You may want to post in the dedicated EX2 subforum or search that subforum to see if there are similar discussions to your issue. This subforum (My Cloud) is generally for the single bay/single drive My Cloud device.
