I just got one mycloud 8T but having trouble understanding the workflow.
I just need it to mirror 1 hard drive. How do I do this?
It should ship with that configuration (RAID 1).
The device contains 2x 4TB drives, which are operated in mirror configuration (so when you write data to the unit, it’s written in duplicate to both drives). When you access the device, you should see one drive of 4TB in size (or in reality a bit less than 4TB due to the usual losses with data block size) representing what’s on both drives.
