MyBook Live and Samsung SmartTV

Hi.

I have a 1 year old WD My Book Live and I recently purchased a Samsung SmartTV with AllShare capabilities.

I uploaded some MP3 and AVI files into my public share, but when I browse my NAS from the TV I get NO MEDIA in the list.

Same value in MyBook UI… I checked Settings > Multimedia and the Twonky server is active, but with no media at all.

I copied my files into the Public share, and in shares setting the multimedia option is set to ALL.

What do I have to do in order to see my medias on the TV?

thanks

From the my book dashboard, press the rescan option and see if that helps. Check page 114 of the manual.

indeed it worked. that’s weird, I tried that already and didn’t work.

thanks

I have a Samsung LED TV 5000 (UN46C5000QFXZC), I recently install it on my network. I can see my hard drive in the MediaPlay of my Tv, but I don’t see any folder. …I recently found a solution, I create a new share folder call “film”( my system is in French) and every thing show now.

Hi,

So, is there a problem displaying subtitles to you too? I have a Samsung UE55 8000 or something with of course the latest update installed  and not showing separate external subtitles .srt files when playing a movie on my TV.Have tried with a usb stick , so no problem with the TV, so I suppose it’s My Book Live .
