My passport wont show up in file explorer

Hi all

My passport wont let me show up in file explorer but the computer knows its there as it when i go to the corner to safely remove usb it is there for removing and it lets me do it ok any help would be a appreciated i have a passport ultra and i works fine the light stays on all the time. if that helps.

Hello,

It is possible the partition is corrupted.

Try formatting the drive.

Got it sorted it just needed reformatted

Hi I have the same problem Just wondering did you lose all the data when you formatted the drive (I am assuming you did!)? I have over 2000 photos which I don’t really want to lose!!

Yes I did but it wasn’t important stuff I was using it on a TV as a hard drive

Did you try it on another pc or laptop

Yes I have tried it on different laptops and different running systems!

Im having the same issue although mine fell. Do you think formatting will resolve this too?

Try and see if not then you’ll know it’s faulty

I can’t get to format. By faulty you mean completely damaged?

By what way are you formatting it by hitting right click I couldn’t do mine that way I had to hit windows key and r at the same time a window should asking you to type diskmgmt.msc in there you should see all your drives that running on your system then you can format from there
