Hi,
I have had my Passport Ultra for a while now, and i have never had any problems. But since last week neither the computer nor the TV recognises it. The pilot is updated, and the weird thing is that connects immediately to a mac or an other computer (a more recent one). any other usb key connects to my computer, and other hard drives connect to the TV.
I just can’t figure ut why it connects to some and not others. Any ideas?

Hello,
If the drive is formatted for Mac then your Windows computer will not recognize the drive.
If the drive is formatted for Mac you will have to format it for Windows in order to use it on a Windows computer.
I have always used it on my Samsung computer. But now that you mention it, I don’t think it has been working since I first plugged it in to a Mac a few weeks ago.
But why does the Mac and a more recent computer running Windows (HP I think) recognise it if you say that when is formatted for one it doesn’t work on another?
Is it maybe possible that recent computers are able to automatically format and adapt the hard drive to be able to read it?
