I am having the exact same problems, but with the 1TB. On “WD Drive Utilities” only the first test passes and everything else fails. I have read a few post and I still do not see a resolution. I opened a ticket to WD for support and never received anything back from them. It is like they know something is wrong and don’t want to confess to it by helping anyone.
