My Passport for Mac visible on one mac, but not any others

I have a WD 2 TB My Passport for Mac which is visible from one Mac but not from two others. Can anyone suggest what’s wrong?

When I plug the drive into a MacBook Air running MacOS Sierra 10.12.6, the drive mounts correctly and can be seen by the finder and disk utility.

When I plug the drive into a second MacBook Air running High Sierra 10.13.6, the drive fails to appear either in the finder or Disk Utility. It’s the same if I plug it into a MacBook Pro running Catalina 10.15.6 using the multiport adaptor.

The drive is formatted with Mac OS Extended (Journaled) and GUID Partition Map. I have erased and reformatted several times.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Hi,

It is recommended to avoid USB hubs and directly connect the drive to USB port of computer. You may try different USB ports.
