hi , I have recently moved some of my computer files back into my WD passport to reinstall fresh windows into my computer now i wanted to transfer those videos and pics back into computer but sounds only part of them move and rest not , only thing i noticed so far is my file system on computer is NFTS but on my passport is exFAT i was wonder if any one could help me in this issue which is so frustrating
Hi,
Based on the details shared, the exFat file format is supported for both Windows and Mac OS.
The My Passport drive is a plug-and-play external storage device and will show up on the File Explorer as an external drive when you plug the device into the USB port of the computer.
The drive will show up under the computer’s file explorer as a removable storage drive and you can transfer data to the drive using copy/paste or drag/drop method.
Hi
thanks for input, unfortunately it didn’t work on my new iMac . I can see files but when I tried to copy paste or drag and drop them it keep saying it cannot be read or written Error code 36 I try to attach screen shots 2021-07-26T14:00:00Z
Hi,
You are experiencing this issue possibly due to a disk error or the disk format is not supported.
I would suggest you to check drive health status by installing WD Drive Utility:

If the drive passes the diagnostic test, I would recommend you to format the drive with APFS file format. Please refer to the link below:
