My Passport can’t be recognised by my MacBook

I just got a new HDD passport for my MacBook and while setting up, I accidentally unplugged it without ejecting the drive. After a while, I try plugging it in to my MacBook but unfortunately my Mac doesn’t recognise my drive and all it does is lit LED light and 6 clicking sounds. I also tried plugging it in to a wall socket to ensure that enough power is going through but it didn’t work.
