My Firmware is 2.2.4 and and is reported to be the latest firmware why can't I upgrade to 2.2.9?

Apparently an automatic upgrade took place 9/03/10??  Not sure I like that upgrade–things appear to have slowed down a bit just accessing the sharespace from the discovery tool??

Any suggestions??
