Hi,
Where the heck can I find the app to access my My Cloud. I cannot locate it. Any help is greatly appreciated. TIA!
What device are you running?
Is it an older device running OS3; older device upgraded to OS5, or a newer device running OS5?
You posted in a forum dedicated to the older OS3. There no longer is any app. You access files by typing the device name (or IP address) into a file manager address bar. You can also assign a “Drive Letter” to the NAS for easier access.
Due to the end of support/service for OS3 (v3.x, v4.x firmware) the OS3 mobile app was withdrawn and no longer works with OS3 My Cloud devices. There is no Windows 10 “app” available other than those downloads available on the WD Support website for OS3 single bay My Cloud devices (https://support-en.wd.com/app/products/product-detailweb/p/126#WD_downloads). If you have an OS5 (v5.x firmware) My Cloud device then one uses the OS5 My Cloud mobile app for iOS/Android.

Customers with legacy, My Cloud OS 3-compatible devices
On April 15, 2022, support ended for prior generations of My Cloud OS, including My Cloud OS 3. There are critical security updates that are only available for My Cloud OS 5-compatible devices. If your device isn’t compatible with My Cloud OS 5, you can only access it locally. As of April 15, 2022, your device no longer receives remote access, security updates, or technical support. To help protect your content, we recommend that you immediately back up your device, disable remote access, disconnect it from the internet, and then protect it with a strong, unique password.
Q: Will my device stop working if I can’t upgrade to My Cloud OS 5? Will I lose access to my data?
A: After the services are shut down, you can only access the device on a local network. Access through the My Cloud OS 3 mobile app or web app won’t work. Email notifications won’t be delivered. Devices that had auto-update enabled received a final firmware update that disabled remote access and outbound traffic to cloud services. Now, support has ended and you have to use your local network to access your device.
One can use File Manger app(s) on their mobile device to access their local network OS3 My Cloud device. The mobile device will need to be connected to the same local network as the OS3 My Cloud.
My model is WD My Cloud WDBCTL0030HWT 3TB Personal Cloud Storage. I’ve not used it in a number of years and now want to access it to remove files. I am able to get to the My Cloud interface but cannot access any of the files.
