I had no issues initially setting up my WD My Cloud and it backed up my files but now I can’t get it to back up my PC and keep it in sync. I’m following the tutorial to try and back the files up through Windows File History but getting stuck when selecting the drive.

What tutorial did you try to follow? Can you access the My Cloud drive using Windows File Explorer?
Note that syncing your computer to the My Cloud is a sightly different function than performing a backup of your computer to the My Cloud. WD offers two programs, WD Sync for syncing and WD Smartware for computer backup, both downloadable from the WD Support page for the My Cloud device.
