Currently have the above using PLEX server on it and my tv my tv is unable to detect NAS I can access it using finder on my Mac but I’m missing the movie folder how do I recover the movies folder from backup drive. I had on there does this mean it has died and need to buy new one.

Because you are using the PR4100 you should either move your post to the correct subforum or start a new post there where users of the Pro Series may be able to assist with your issue. This subforum generally discusses the second gen single bay/single drive My Cloud.

For specific problems with Plex you may want to see Plex’s support forums if you haven’t done so alread.

Check the TV to see how it is attempting to access the Plex Media Server. You generally need the Plex client app on the TV or streaming box in order to access the Plex Media Server. Check your TV’s app store to see if it has a Plex app. Otherwise you will need to see what other methods of access the TV supports (DLNA, SMB, etc) for accessing the My Cloud. If DLNA, one can enable the DLNA feature within the Plex settings.
