My Cloud OS 5 - Web/App Access

I updated my MyCloudMirror Gen2 to the recent version 5.04.114 and can access the device via Android App and via mycloudcom.

However, I want to configure the same for other users.

I can send the inviting mail from the device, setup the account on mycloudcom but after this nothing happens.

If I try to logon to mycloudcom the is a message “no NAS associated” or what ever, in the device dashboard I can only re-sent the invitation mail.

do you login to mycloud via link from email?
I have similar issue, I create new account, sent invitation, login into mycloud directly, and nothing happened.
But when I click on SIGNIN link in email (before you need logout from mycloud), I get access to my NAS.

The link has token, which binding your NAS with this email. It’s really stupid email from WD, because if I send link to someone who has account, I expect, that this user could login and see my invitation, but instead I need to use only link from email, but email doesn’t mention about it at all.

Yes, I always used the link from mail.

But the device is still indexing, maybe this could be a reason?

Hmmm, in such case I don’t have any idea.
I take a look on my device, and I see that I connected to cloud, but it’s still indexing.

The message of “No NAS associated” will occur when the invited user has not clicked the link in the invitation email yet. The mail link in required to associate the user to the NAS. If you’ve already clicked the email invitation link:

  1. Log out of mycloud.com
  2. Log into mycloud.com

User should be associated with a NAS now.

This is exactly what I did, same negative result.

@ToTo Please contact support and provide the system logs to your My Cloud device as well as the email address used for mycloud.com. Put “no associated NAS after clicking email invite” in the subject line.

Thank you for support.
I prefer ta wait until indexing is done, the system is 95% busy and does responding very, very slow on the dashboard. Unable to work with it right now.

Hi ToTo,

Had the same issue as you and many others… The Admin account was signed out even if the PR4100 says “Connected”!

I went to the Cloud Access tab, click on the Admin user and Signed In. Deleted the “User account” for which the invite was not working. Sent a new invite to the User and Tadam!

Same here. Now I was successful for one of the additional users, same trouble for the next user configured on the device.

Hi ToTo,

Even if you delete de Could Access account for the next problematic user?

The GUI of the dashboard is always freezing with “Updating …” on a gray background.

Maybe because of the running indexing?

Hello, same issue here. No invitation links will be sent. When I try to delete the respective user the dashboard freezes and I will be kicked out after 15 to 20 minutes. The status is "connected (indexing…) since two days.

My NAS is indexing for 4 days now …

@Leonardo1602 Can you provide the system logs on your My Cloud? I will send you a private message

Day 6 after the update to OS 5 and it is still indexing.

Can I see some progress?

Indexing is running now for 1 week.

How can I see the progress?

Indexing is now running for 2 weeks!

I just disabled cloud access to see if the device is idle then.

However, if I try to enable again, I get “Updating …” and nothing more.

After a few minutes “Updating…” changes to “Timed out …”.

It does not enable cloud access again.

After indexing for 2 weeks now I updated to [5.05.111].

Now I can see it is at 14% !

What is this box doing???

Based on this it will take 100 days to index all.

Hmmm. . . I have an EX2 Ultra

For me; indexing about 1.5TB of data took about 40 hours
(the drives were far from full)

I see this is a Cloud Mirror subforum. . . . .I wonder if the MyCloud mirror just doesn’t have enough power to do indexing?

It is also evident that the PR4100 crowd (because of the better processor) is saddled with TRANSCODING as well as indexing. . .

I wonder if that all makes the EX2Ultra the WD OS/5 “sweet spot”

(Nothing in the above should be construed as saying Indexing is working correctly)
