Hallo zusammen, meine My Cloud EX2 Ultra ist nagelneu und ich bin letztlich noch am abwägen, ob ich sie behalten werden (Rückgabe jederzeit möglich).
Das kopieren von Ordnern via USB auf die EX2 ist sehr einfach zu bewerkstelligen.
Umständlich finde ich das Kopieren von gezielt ausgewählten einzelnen Dateien, da ich nicht alle Inhalte meiner alten Ordner via USB auf die EX2 übertragen möchte.
Per Windows wäre das mittels Mehrfach-Selektion sehr einfach. Allerdings würde ich dann gefühlt “Wochen” von der Geschwindigkeit her brauchen, um ca. 15TB an Daten auf die EX2 zu übertragen.
Also bleibt mir nur, Das über den “My Cloud” Browser zu bewerkstelligen. Allerdings muss ich für jede einzelne Datei jeweils einen Kopiervorgang anschieben. Man kann da z.B. nicht einfach all die Dateien, die kopiert werden sollen, auswählen um dann 1x den Kopiervorgang für mehrere Dateien zu starten.
Ist das nur bei mir so oder bei Euch auch?
Wie geht Ihr vor, wenn Ihr mehrere Einzeldateien auf einmal auf die EX2 kopieren wollt?

Is the USB hard drive attached to the My Cloud’s USB port or is it attached to a USB port on the computer (or some other non My Cloud device)?
Slow copy speed to a USB hard drive attached to a My Cloud unit’s USB port is a common complaint when one is using Windows File Explorer or Mac Finder to copy the file(s) or entire folders. One possible cause is the data may flow from the My Cloud, through the local computer, then back to the My Cloud to the USB drive attached to the My Cloud. If this is the case one’s network speed can greatly impact that transfer speed. Make sure to have both the My Cloud AND the computer initiating the copy both connected to a Gigabit capable router/switch. Avoid using WiFi connections where possible when transferring large amounts of data.
One method to bypass a potential slow copy to the USB hard drive attached to the My Cloud is to access the My Cloud using SSH and use Linux commands to copy the files (or entire directories) from the My Cloud to the USB drive. One might be able to setup some kind of batch file to copy various files from a directory to another location. There are SSH GUI programs like WinSCP (https://winscp.net/eng/index.php) and others that may help one select individual files to copy using SSH.
In the end though many factors affect copy speed. From the number of files to their size to the speed of the broadband connection to the actual capable speed of the USB port to the speed of both the My Cloud hard drive and the USB hard drive.
Hi - die einzig sinnvolle Lösung, die ich nach Wochen Frust und Zorn herausfand ist verdammt simple!!! FILEZILLA - per FTP - pfeilschnell - ja auch mit WD und stabil - zum Schluß: über GB-Netzwerk (LAN) für 2,7 TB ca 24 Stunden… für die WDMYCLOUD ein super Ergebnis … und die Pfade waren grausam lang… / der Hammer: bei Abbrüchen während des load von sehr grossen Dateien nimmt FileZilla den Kontakt erneut auf und weiter gehts mit down- oder upload!! MOZILLA??? at it’s best!
