I have a My Book Pro 1tb and the port was damaged after a fall. The port still work but only with duck tape and vary little movement. A friend told me to remove the HDD from the case and install it into my the desktop I was building. I removed it, junked the rest and installed it in the desktop. I quickly learned that the drive is setup RAID and the controller was one of the parts I junked. I need a work around or something with deleting nor formatting the drive.

My book pro is not a User Serviceable device and controller is the main thing for RAID configured drives. The drive will work on a computer.
