My Book New Edition 8TB - 2 years warranty vs 3 years warranty

I have 2 seemingly identical My Book (New Edition) 8TB drives, one says 2 years warranty on the box, the other one says 3 years. Does anyone know why is that? Is there a difference between the disks that they used?

Normally the warranty is by region, did you purchase both units at the same place? On this case, contact support so they can better assist you:

I had the same situation. However, checking the warranty status online showed that they’re both covered by a 3 year warranty
