8TB External and warranty?

Im thinking about purchasing 8TB My book external drive. I will use it as a back up for my computer for a while and then later on i’m thinking about removing the disk from the enclosure and using it in my server. I will not care about the data at that point so the drive will be formatted. My question is, since i’m removing it from the enclosure that will void the warranty on the enclosure, but will that void the warranty on the drive itself? Lets say after a year of use in the server it goes bad, will i be able to use warranty to have it replaced or repaired?

Thank you very much.

Just on the rma they wont except externals that were removed from enclosure, so I think that voids on the drive itself.
