Hi there guys. Im a Mac tech guy in the UK and one of my new customers needs to be able to use his iPhone to play the music on his MyCloud Mirror.
Can someone please explain the best way to achieve this. Is there any way to natively stream the music files to an iPhone or would you use VLC? Either way any solid solution would be very well received.
Thanks

WD posts User manuals for their devices. Check at WDC.com to find and d/l the correct manual.
Nice answer.
Can some non robot please explain the answer to me, Ill be very grateful and so will my 70 year old friend.
Pathetic
Hey, Dude, I am not a robot, this is a user to user forum. If the answer was short and sweet, I would have told you. I know your time is valuable, but so is mine, so I sent you in the right direction for answers.
The short answer is the WD NAS device needs to be set up to serve media files, and an app on the iphone needs to be used. WD makes the My Cloud app for this purpose which enables playing on iphone easy; either locally or remotely. Other music-playing apps can also be used. I do this frequently.
BTW, I am older than your 79 y/o friend and I figured it out. Perhaps he should do the same.
Now, get the online manual and learn how this is all done. Too many details to cover here.
