Moving external drive to a new housing

Hi!

I had a couple old My Book Studio drives that failed because I live near the beach and they got very corroded. I pulled the drives out of them and am trying to read them using a generic external enclosure but when I plug it in, I get a pop-up saying “the disk you attached was not readable by this computer”.

The information is intact on the drives I just need to know how to access it.

Anyone have a solution for this?
