I had thought I was done with this sleep, no sleep problem. For the last little while I have learnt not to use my Cloud as much and have pretty much left it sleeping and for the most part I am getting about 3 wake ups per a 24 hour day.
Yesterday, I woke it up to copy a bunch of files over to the device, turned on standby and left it alone.
Tonight I signed on expecting the same except I found 14 wake-ups…

Now ever since that firmware update that left me weary of updates, I have left monitorio.sh pretty much as-is except for the two sync at the end of the script. Now the one thing that had changed in “my version” of monitorio.sh was the removal of the touch /tmp/mediacrawler_rewalk but not in this version.
This flag is created when ever you copy a large amount of files over to the Cloud indicating that a scan should be performed because you have added additional files.
All of my media scan services wddispatcherd, wdphotodbmergerd and wdmcserverd have been turned off. twonky is off.
So although monitorio.sh does create this flag, which of my services is waking up the hard drive every hour or is it monitorio.sh that keeps noticing that the hard drive has additional files and keeps touching that rewalk file causing a wake up.
Any ideas?
