Lost all MyCloud shares

Good morning. I had been using my MyCloud 4TB (v 2.29.119) via mycloud.com yesterday, and all worked well. At home last night, using either the iOS app or SMB, no shares were available. Rebooted, and nothing changed. I did some more investigating this morning via terminal and found that all shares had been moved from /shares/ to /shares/Volume_1/ . It appears all files are there, but it’s tough to be sure. I tested copying one directory back to /shares/ and got some kind of insufficient space error, while there’s approximately 75% of the drive free. Terminal access works fine, dashboard is up and appears to work as expected. User accounts are there. But Shares in the dashboard is also blank.

How can I safely restore the shares while retaining files and permissions?

On a perhaps unrelated note, I had set firmware not to be automatically updated. However, according to logs, it was updated on Oct. 24.

This is a very delicate situation. It would be best to E-mail WD Support about this in the following link:
