Looking for tutorial on how to connect 2 x WD My Cloud 3 TB

Hi,

I am using my first device WD My Cloud 3TB, and now I´m thinkikng about buying a second device exactly same model WD My Cloud 3TB, for Safe Points purposes (mirroring my first device overf the second device).

Before buying the second unit, I wouyld like to know if some one can give me some advice:

How can I connect both devices?

I can imagin two different scenarios:

  1. If I connect the second device to the back USB port of the first device, How can I do that? Do I need a Male To Male USB 3.0 cable?

  2. Connectin second device directly to the router (same as the first device is connected).

Which is the correct one for best performance?

Thank you very much.

Only 2 is possible.
