I am changing my Time Machine backups to my new purchase of My Cloud Home. It asks to log in to the my cloud server as REGISTERED USER. What is this? I have not setup any registered user other than creating my new my cloud email and password and those don’t work. Please advise.
I keep seeing this response to use guest. I had a previous wd cloud and I had a registered user name and password that I used. Have no clue how it was created. so I would like to know how to set it up for my new cloud device.
This is not a my cloud device but a my cloud home.
If you want to use credentials to access documents, you will need WD Discovery to use WD proprietary system.
For Time Machine backups, you will need to use the AFP/SMB shares “TimeMachineBackup” and use guest.
