I have been looking into the WD Livewire product. It looks really good and am hoping to buy one eventually. But im curious if i plug my WD TV live in can i then plug an ordinary hard drive into my WD TV live and then will that drive be read on the livewire network?? Or do all the external hard drives have to be plugged directly in to the livewire device??
The LiveWire is only an “Ethernet Extender” of sorts.
If you can plug your external HD’s into an Ethernet port, then you can plug them into the LiveWire.
If you’re talking about USB Hard disks, since you can plug the WDTV Live into the LiveWire, yes, you would have access to the USB devices of the WDTV through the network.
