Connecting 2 WD Tv Live HD

Hey everyone just got a quick questions. My brother in-law wants to get two WD Live and connect them up to use in various rooms around the house. He wants to bypass the computer and use just an external HD. Is there a way of doing it without hooking it up to the ether cable or dongle?? I said to him about doing the ether cable but he was wondering if there is any other way?? Hope all is well??

To share a single hard drive, the WDTVs would need to be networked in one way or another… either both wired to a router, or both wireless to a router, or one of each.

If he doesn’t want them networked, then he’d need a USB drive for each, or he’d have to keep swapping the drive back and forth and only use one Live at a time.

I know of no other way to connect them other than networking.

OK wicked thanks for the reply will tell him when I see him next. Cheers for the quick responce.
