I purchased a 4Tb ShareSpace several years ago and due to a loss of AC Power and a dead battery in the UPS, the SS crashed, and the RAID 5 array became corrupted. After a call WD support and spending a couple weeks of my time trying to recover the data on the drive, I gave up and attempted a Factory Reset, which also failed. And after making several attempts to get the Factory Reset to work, I called WD support again.
With this call they fixed the problem to my satisfaction and you can count me as one happy WD customer.
I’m writing this note, not to boast of my success, but to counter the many negative comments on this forum about WD support. From my eyes the support people with the support group understood the problem and fixed it. For sure, I will buy more WD drives!!!
