I've dropped my WD External Hard Drive..HELP!

Hi, to anyone who can help it would be much appreciated.

While my external Hard Drive was plugged in & i was accessing documents from it, i dropped it & it hit a wooden floor. Height was only about 1 Foot but i think i may have broken it.

When i plug it in now, the light is on but it makes a buzzing noise every 2-3 seconds and if i tap it a couple of times the buzzing noise disappears but i can’t get any further than this.

It does not show up in ‘my computer’ but if i click Devices & printers it does show up in there.

Any helped would be much appreciated.

Bro I am having same problem! my ext hdd felt from CPU now its not working / detecting.

Hello, sorry to know that, but since the drive has fallen, there is almost nothing to do, my advice is to save as much info as you can and as soon as possible because those drives can stop working at any time.
