So after the latest firmware installed on my cloud drive, I’m unable to open iTunes. I’ll get a dialog box saying “the folder iTunes is on a locked disc or you don’t have write permissions.” I’m the only user on my PC & it’s saying I don’t have credentials to change any permissions. I’ve tried several methods to no success. All I get is access denied when trying to change something. Hopefully WD fixes this because I use iTunes frequently.
Hey there…if you stored your iTunes Music in the Public folder and are getting “Permission Denied” when trying to write, I recommend opened a support case and request the patch. https://westerndigital.secure.force.com/ind/?lang=en
No i dont have my iTunes in a shared folder. It’s in a folder under my name.
We have passed along this information to WD Support.
