iTunes server in the latest firmware V4.00.01-623

Hi

Anyone using iTunes but cannot access the iTunes server in WD MyCloud after latest firmware update? I am using Windows 8 64bit, with latest iTunes version.

Mee too… :confounded:

Really no one else having problem with iTunes server?

Hi albertomtb, we have passed this along to support.

I have the same issue with a 2TB WD My Cloud under Mavericks and Mountain Lion, firmware v04.00.01-623. Looking forward to resolution!

We now have a solution for this issue.  Please refer to the link below.

Many thanks, this is now fixed for me on both Mountain Lion and Mavericks.

Do you need to install 623 first before installing this fix, or is it a stand-alone firmware update?

I’m still on 607, waiting for all the issues to shake out before updating.

The fix is for the latest firmware. So, if you’re not on it, you shouldn’t be having the issue.

Don’t we all love costomer service!

That’s not my point.

Let me spell it out for you.

When upgrading from 607, should I:

a) upgrade to 623, then install the iTunes fix

or

b) just install the iTunes fix directly without 623 first

In other words, is the iTunes fix a complete firmware update incorporating 623, or just a patch?

Now do you understand?

It’s a patch for 623.

Yes, this is a patch for 623.  Install 623, then install the iTunes fix.

I am having the same problem but can’t seem to get the manual update to work.  And MyCloud Mirror still doesn’t show up in itunes where it did before restarting this morning.  When i try the update as suggested above, i get the message “Upload firmware fail.  Try again”.  Any tips??? Thanks

The file is for the WD My Cloud, not the My Cloud Mirror, so that’s why it’s rejected.  There aren’t any known issues with the iTunes server for My Cloud Mirror.  You might want to try refreshing the iTunes Database on the Settings / Media page.
