iTunes Server Problems

Windows 7

Western Digital Live TV Hub 1 Tb Drive

iTunes 10.5

I recently bought a WDTV live hub, which I wanted to use as an iTunes server. It wirelessly links to the Home Network with a D-Link nano USB dongle. The devices is visible in iTunes, but clicking on it just gives a ‘loading’ dialogue box and nothing more happens.

Is this the same issue being experience by everyone else on here, and is there a PC patch or something I can do to get this working?

Thanks

It’s due to the iTunes 10.5 upgrade.   They changed a format in a DAAP request, and very few non-apple devices support that.

So we’ll have to wait for a firmware update from WD to fix the iTunes server with the new DAAP library.

And once again thanks to Apple’s “Apple only devices on your house” market philosophy

Firmware upgrade today didn’t fix this issue… Come on WD…
