I Want My PlayON BACK!

Ok so PlayON is the reason I bought 2 WDLives to start with.  WD Live was a little short on web features  - Playon Filled that gap nicely.  Now this latest firmware update takes away the ability to Stream PlayON (and many others judging by the posts).  No PlayON reduces the WD live to a Nice $100 paperweight.  I have 2. :(  

Byt the way PlayON tech says it’s up to WDLIve to fix the problem.  WD tech keeps giving my the texas two step - for an answer.

Maybe we all should be calling both tech supports every day. Many of us purchased these boxes & Playon together for a reason. Downgrading to a previous firmware is not a solution, it is an excuse, and contiues to nag me to upgrade to the broken firmware every single day. Somehow,  replies from some dude with 4,252 WD forum posts does not inspire confidence.  WD should be answering posts like these, not you.  We all get that you’re the WD King, and know more about WD products that any other living human being, and you do a lot of good forpeople that WD seems to ignore, but we’d like to hear from WD. Any bets that HuluPlus ($7.99 a month) is up & running before Playon (Hulu free) is restored?

This is a user to user forum and the users have given their work around - downgrade your firmware and your playon is fixed. WD are working on the problem and then they have sorted out other more important bugs they will release new firmware. Would it help if WD came on everyday and said the same. Just downgrade and ignore the firmware nag, its not that hard.

WD *HAS* SEVERAL times posted information about the PlayOn issue.   It HAS been answered.

But if you wish to sit and wait and get nothing done, that’s your own choice;  I and other people are here to help you get your box working.
