Also you might want to read THIS It will show you how to setup SMBV1 on your Windows 10 PC…it was turned off by MS because of security issues.
Just so you know, you don’t need the software to setup your MBL. You can do it with a browser and the IP of the MPL on your network. The MANUAL shows you on page 18. What it does not tell you is you need http://mybooklive/ if you don’t have the IP. That trailing “/” is now needed, it wasn’t then. At least I can’t access the dashboard without it.
Also note I don’t think the cloud (wd2go.com) functions any longer. (not sure)

I have this product for a while now and there are still some old pictures en videos on it. But i cannot acces the livebook. The book doesnt got any usb.
I can now only see a yellow light instead of blue or green.
Main question is how can i access my videos en photos? I bought this livebook once to save data/videos and photos. Now i cannot reach is.
Find this really bizarre and very customer unfriendly

I have an old My Book Live that starts with WDBACG. When changing multiple computers, the WD Discovery tool always worked to find my My Book. Got a new computer through work and need to access files. I’m so frustrated that I can’t find the My Book on my network, and the lack of access to troubleshooting from WD is terrible. I know it’s old, but if I had good customer service, I’d update to latest product. Now I want to extract files and throw out window. What service can help me extract the files so I can move to something new?
