I disassemble External disk WD10TMVV-11BG7S0

Hello
I Hope you Can help me with this.I dismantled my External disk because USB connection was not working…I have done this with another External disk and I had no problem to connect it to an adapter but this one has no visible connectors …it is enclosed and I have no access to it therefore cannot get my data from it .I took out the card attached to it ( PCB?)Can anyone help?

What do you mean by “not working”? Did the drive spin up? Was there an LED?

No,It didn’t do anything because USB socket was not functioning .

Thanks for your answer

Can you tell us the part number of the PCB, ie 2060-nnnnnn?

Sometimes there is a dry solder joint at a zero-ohm resistor. This is easily fixed.

Is this your PCB (2060-701675)?

Hi
I apologise for my delay in answering…but I decided to send two pictures of the disk
because I am not a technician and I do not know what you mean…thanks for your kindness.

Hello
If you saw the pictures I sent.Do you think there Is a way to recover the files of my disk?
I am anxiously waiting for your answer

You don’t appear to understand what a PCB is, so I don’t think I can help you.

I think I know what that is…the problem is I took it out and break it so I cannot tell you the number…now I understand that this kind of disk is weird…because I use three different disk from other External drives and one from a wireless device and I can use them with an adapter without any difficulty.
Thanks for your answer

Each PCB contains unique drive specific calibration data in a serial flash memory chip (aka “ROM”). If you have discarded your PCB, then data recovery will be much more difficult and much more expensive.
