I can't reformat my WD My Passport Drive

After giving up because I can’t remember my password.I resort to formatting the Drive and now I can’t reformat it. I installed WD Drive Utilities and after inputting 5 pw attempts, I then proceed to erasing the drive and now It just says wd format failed and on windows it says the last usb device is unrecognized and etc. Any Help?
