Reformatting problems with My Passport

Just opened my new My Passport and disk utilities and this is what it shows - can find nothing to reformat - the partition only shows – can anyone help please?

Is there a way to reformat this, I have tried all of the buttons and they all say ‘failed’

Hi,

Take a look at this and try partitioning the drive instead of re-formatting it.

Thanks a great deal, tried all of that and still wouldn’t work. The supplier is changing the drive and I will start from scratch. Good to get a response though.
