I just have moved some files (about 500 GB) from my PC to a 1T My Book Live and during this process there has been an error trying to connect to the net. As a result, the file is blocked (taken by an other process) and I´m not able to delete it. I have tried with the Windows Explorer and with an MS DOS command. In both cases the answer is the same. After some minutes trying to do it, both say that the file can´t be deleted because it has been opened by an other process. Anyone has any ideas about it? I would appreciate any help. Thanks
Your best bet would be to enable SSH, download WinSCP, login to the drive and browse to /DataVolume/shares/ and the share the file is in and deleting it from there.
Use the search function if you are unsure how to enable SSH and use WinSCP. There are a bunch of posts in this forum with that information.
Thank you very much, NFODIZ, I´m really grateful for your quick and perfect answer. It was really easy to solve the problem. Thank you again.
