Howto manually upgrade myBookLive

i have a myBookLive with this os ver “2.6.32.11-svn52288 #1 Wed Oct 26 18:57:59 PDT 2011”

it doesn’t want to upgrade via the web interface. when i login via web interface it goes to the config/settings UI page then reverts right back to login page.

  1. is there a script to update via the linux commanline via ssh ?

  2. if that way can’t be done, is there a file to download, and manually upgrade it?

i assume i need to copy all files off to my backup server prior to an upgrade?

That’s the Linux Kernel version, not the firmware version of the MBL.

You can check the MBL firmware version either through the user interface, or via the command

cat /etc/version

how do i manually update this unit since the web interface isn’t working anymore?

nevermind. i see i posted this same question awhile back. yeah, unit has been sitting around for awhile now working just can’t use web interface or update.

i submitted a ticket for this. finally getting around to fixing this
