How to make WD Element compatible with XP

Hi,
I bought a WD Elements 2TB but I cannot use with XP.
The computer detect the new USB HD but I cannot access it. After several attempt I read in the WD cardbox that it is compatible with win 7,8,10
Is there a way to make it also compatible with XP?

I’m assuming you’re running XP 32 bit since GPT works in XP64.

But since it’s 2TB, you should be able to format it as MBR which is all that XP32 supports.
