Any Commercially Available WD External/Desktop HDDs Compatible With WinXP in 2022?

Hi there,

Just wondering if anyone knows if there are any commercially-available WD External/Desktop HDDs that are still compatible with WinXP?

(I know that I may be required to use WD Quick Formatter to format it correctly.)

I actually have a 5TB WD Elements external drive I bought about 4 or 5 years ago that worked out-of-the-box, so - somehow - WD circumvented the 2TB limit for (32bit) XP PCs.

But info on XP-compatible Drives is quite scarce nowadays, so that’s why I’m here. The last info I saw was from 2020 where people were saying that WD Ext HDDs were XP compatible but only by formatting them using WD’s Quick Formatter program. Would love to know if that’s still possible in 2022.
