Wd elements basic portable how plug in with win xp?

hi all
i bought wd elemnts 2t. plug in… nothing happend so I read that i had to serach the download i’ve do it but nothing runs! i have win xp
i’m not so stupid but i have another external storage and i did only the plug in and i worked! thanks

Windows XP 32-Bit does not support GPT (GUID Partition Table) which the brand new WD Elements 2TB will be formatted as.

then you would know that the other external storage you have will be MBR (Master Boot Record) partitioned … or using 512 Byte Emulation (for drives over 2TB) for WinXP compatibility.
