How do you hook up the WD Live hub for full audio through a receiver and video through a TV

I’ve had the WD Live hub for a long time and have always had it running through my home theatre system with no issues. 

Now that I’ve moved and am hooking everything back up, I can’t get the audio to work.  I have the sole HDMI cable connected to my flatscreen so I can navigate and watch video and the optical cable connected to my Yamaha receiver but still can only get audio from my TV. 

When listening to music, I’d prefer it play though my sound system instead of the TV speakers (for obvious reasons) but for some reason, I can no longer get it to work.  

Am I missing something or does anybody have any suggestions?

A few things to double check

Make sure the Hub’s audio settings are correct for your amp (SPDIF)

Make sure the amp is set to the correct input

Check SPDIF connectors at both ends (Hub and Amp)

Check that the SPDIF cable is good

Went back and checked the connections and flipped it.  receiver to tv hub to receiver both hdmi dropped the optical and got it!  Not sure how I had it previously, but there were a lot of cables left over in the box I through out LOL.
