Help with network connection

Hi everyone,

The problem is… i have a PC (WINXP) connected to internet with a wireless connection to a router and then i have connected the WDTV with an ethernet connection.

I have connection between them but i haven’t internet in the WDTV. When i check the connection i have “Incorrect DNS server adress”

PC configuration:

wireless

ip 192.168.2.101

subnet 255.255.255.0

gateway 192.168.2.1

ethernet

ip 192.168.3.1

subnet 255.255.255.0

gateway 192.168.2.1

________________________

WDTV

ip 192.168.3.2

subnet 255.255.255.0

dns 192.168.2.1

gateway 192.168.2.1

I’m not exactly clear how you’ve got your network configured but just looking at it, it seems you need to change the IP address of your WDTV and ethernet connections to 192.168.2.x and 192.168.2.x respectively.  Currently you have the third octet set at “3” and this puts you on a different subnet which I don’t believe is what you had in mind.
